Artist, Sue Pritchard was raised with an artistic family, not finding her way into the artistic field until later in life. She became inspired not just by her family but by several artists from the area whom she met through a family business, PDR Picture Frames and Gallery. Sue started her art adventures with a book called “Drawing for Dummies”. She found it exciting and was inspired by family and friends to keep learning. Learning to draw with a pencil became a passion and with that, she soon experienced more creativity with the coloured pencils. She has drawn (florals, portraits, still life, and scenery but soon realized her passion was in drawing animals with both pencil and coloured pencil. Although she loves to draw animals, her strong love for them attracted her to becoming a pet portrait artist. Although Sue started later in life with her artistic passion, it has become a huge part of her life.
